That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a hugely popular isekai anime series starring Rimuru Tempest, a heroic slime, who has learned to survive and thrive in this new realm. He has gathered countless monster allies and friends to his cause, and together, they created a brand-new nation: the Jura Tempest Federation, which is populated by all manner of colorful and fun characters.
Needless to say, characters such as these need talented voice actors to bring them to life, and Reincarnated as a Slime features many skilled voice actors who portray these isekai characters in unforgettable ways. So, who are these voice actors and where might Slime fans have heard them before?
Miho Okasaki - The Magnificent Kotobuki & My Next Life As A Villainess
The hero, Rimuru Tempest, was once an ordinary Japanese salaryman until he got fatally stabbed in the streets of Tokyo and awoke in a new fantasy world as a blue slime, loaded with powers and abilities. He took full advantage of this and began a quest to form a new kingdom with himself as the benevolent ruler, and he later started assuming a human shape to interact more naturally with human and dwarf politicians and allies. The voice actor for his slime form, Miho Okasaki, has also voiced the character Mary Hunt in My Next Life as a Villainess and Maria in The Magnificent Kotobuki.
Megumi Toyoguchi - Claymore & Dragon Goes House-Hunting
When Rimuru began his new life as a slime, he had a fantasy A.I. of sorts named Great Sage implanted in his head, which can analyze magic and monsters for Rimuru on request. Rimuru also consults the Great Sage for tactical advice and administrative work, and after Rimuru became a True Demon Lord, the Great Sage evolved into Raphael. Great Sage's voice actor, Megumi Toyoguchi, has voiced Lamia in Dragon Goes House-Hunting and Sophia in Claymore.
Mao Ichimichi - Horimiya & Fruits Basket
Rimuru befriended a squad of six ogres partway through Slime Season 1, including a fierce but loyal warrior named Shion. Once Shion evolved into a kijin and gained her name, she became Rimuru's #1 fan and self-appointed secretary, and she has been an eccentric but enthusiastic ally of his ever since. She also accompanied him to the Walpurgis meeting of Demon Lords and fought by his side. Her voice actress, Mao Ichimichi, has also portrayed Remi Ayasaki in Horimiya and Motoko Minagawa in Fruits Basket.
Makoto Furukawa - Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War & Dr. Stone
Another major ogre ally of Rimuru's is the flame swordsman Benimaru, who has pledged himself to Rimuru's cause. In Season 2, Rimuru trusted Benimaru to lead an army against Clayman's forces in Eurazania territory, and Benimaru quickly proved his worth as a commander and fighter in the process. His voice actor, Makoto Furukawa, is also noted for voicing Miyuki Shirogane in the rom-com Kaguya-Sama: Love is War and Taiju Oki in the edutainment isekai series Dr. Stone.
Rina Hidaka - Komi Can't Communicate & The Rising Of The Shield Hero
Despite her carefree personality and youthful appearance, Milim Nava is one of the oldest and most powerful Demon Lords of all, and she took Rimuru's side when he bribed her with food and fun. Milim declared herself Rimuru's "bestie" and has been a chaotic but reliable ally for him ever since. She joined Rimuru in the new Octogram organization, gaining the former Demon Lords Frey and Carrion as her new subordinates. Her voice actor, Rina Hidaka, also portrayed Ren Yamai in the Netflix anime Komi Can't Communicate and Filo the bird-girl in another isekai series, The Rising of the Shield Hero.
Takehito Koyasu - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure & Attack On Titan
Demon Lord Clayman was Rimuru's worst enemy for a long time, and he was the mastermind behind the joint Falmuth/Church assault on Rimuru's capital city. Clayman also attempted to control Milim as his puppet and tried to smear Rimuru's name during Walpurgis, only to lose to Rimuru when the two of them were finally allowed to have their violent showdown. Clayman's voice actor, Takehito Koyasu, has voiced many roles since the late 1980s, but a couple of the most notable include Dio Brando from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Zeke Yeager/Beast Titan from Attack on Titan.
