Hasbro announced all three versions of Peter Parker/Spider-Man from No Way Home will receive Marvel Legends figures in the future.
On Twitter, Hasbro Pulse shared a promotional image showing Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's versions of Spider-Man in No Way Home to announce the upcoming Marvel Legends figures. While the company did not provide any specific details about the figures, the tweet does say that they'll arrive at some point in 2023. No more specific date was provided in the tweet.
Set after the events of 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home, No Way Home saw Holland's version of Peter enlisting the help of Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to rehide his identity, which was revealed to the world by Quentin Beck/Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). However, the spell Strange used went awry, resulting in characters from across the multiverse entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Among those who joined the MCU were such villains from the classic Spider-Man franchises as Doctor Otto Octavius/Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), Norman Osborn/Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and Max Dillon/Electro (Jamie Foxx). Maguire and Garfield's Spider-Men also entered the MCU and helped Holland's version of the character defeat their classic on-screen foes.
Originally created by Toy Biz, the Marvel Legends line has been around since 2002 and is now made by Hasbro. The line translates Marvel's popular comic book characters into figurines. Over the years, though, there have been a number of figures based on the versions of the characters present in the MCU.
Holland made his debut as Peter in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, where he sided with Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) against Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans). Since then, Holland has appeared in three solo films and a number of Avengers movies. At this time, Holland is expected to return as Spider-Man at some point in the future. However, just when the character will next appear in the MCU isn't clear at this time.
Maguire debuted as Peter in 2002's Spider-Man and played the character for two more movies. Following the release of 2007's Spider-Man 3, Sony opted to reboot the franchise with Garfield in the lead role. Garfield then starred in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man and 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 before Holland took over as the character.
Directed by Jon Watts from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home is available on home media now.
