The Battle for Blüdhaven's heart begins on Tuesday for DC Comics.
Written by Tom Taylor with art by Bruno Redondo, leading the week of DC's new releases is Nightwing #92. Since the creative team took over the title with Nightwing #78, they have increased the reach of Dick Grayson's heroics by turning him into a wealthy philanthropist without the mask, giving back to his adopted city through the Alfred Pennyworth Foundation. However, not every person in Blüdhaven is a fan of Dick's altruistic efforts, particularly Roland Desmond aka Blockbuster, the city's premier crime boss. The upcoming issue will kick off the battle for the city, though it is not the only title releasing from DC next week.
After almost a year since it was first announced, Fables finally returns. Formerly a part of DC's Vertigo imprint, the series originally ran for 150 issues from 2002 until 2015, but now it is back once again through DC's mature imprint, DC Black Label. Picking up where Fables #150 left off and led by writer Bill Willingham and artist Mark Buckingham, Fables #151 begins a 12-part comeback for the title.
Other notable mentions for Tuesday's releases include the one-shot Shadow War Zone #1, the penultimate chapter of Wonder Woman: Evolution and the next installment of writer Mark Waid and artist Dan Mora's Batman/Superman: World's Finest.
