The Stone Ocean is part six of eight in the on-going Jojo's Bizarre Adventure manga. Araki's epic, generation-spanning series began more than 30 years ago in 1987 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The story is 130-volumes long and counting, and tells the struggles of the Joestar family, beginning with Jonathan Joestar in the late 29th century, and continuing through to a variety of different locations and eras up until the present day. While the series tells one continuous story, each part of the lengthy saga features a different protagonist, who are all descendants of the original Joestar. Set ten years after the events of the Golden Wind arc, the Stone Ocean arc is set in Florida in 2011 and stars Jolene Cujoh, the daughter of previous protagonist and fan-favorite Jotaro Kujo, whose story took place in the 1980's. Jolene will be voiced by actor Fairouz Ai in the anime adaptation.
A release date for the Stone Ocean season has not yet been announced. The currently available Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime seasons can be streamed on Hulu, Netflix and Crunchyroll. The first five parts of the manga have been released and localized in English by VIZ Media, which is also publishing art books based on the series.
