Netflix Announces Inside Job Season 2 With Appropriately Zany Clip

Netflix just announced the return of adult animated series Inside Job by sharing a clip from Season 1, Part 2's first episode.

Released to coincide with Netflix Geeked Week 2022, the clip comprises the entire opening sequence from Season 1, Part 2. It picks up shortly after the events of Season 1, Part 1, with Reagan Ridley (Lizzy Caplan) still struggling to come to terms with the fact that her father Rand (Christian Slater) is once again CEO of Cognito Inc. The footage also spotlights Lizzy's colleague Brett Hand (Clark Duke) and boasts the same blend of conspiracy-themed workplace humor that defined Inside Job's initial 10-episode run.

Inside Job is one of several animated shows aimed at mature viewers promoted by Netflix during Geeked Week 2022. The streaming platform also dropped the first trailer for Farzar, a sci-fi comedy romp from Paradise PD creators Roger Black and Waco O’Guin. It follows the exploits of the ruler of the planet Farzar, Renzo, his dimwitted son Fichael and their eccentric allies as they battle the forces of alien warlord Bazarack. Farzar boasts the vocal talents of Lance Reddick, Dana Snyder, David Kaye, Jerry Minor and Kari Wahlgren. Its first season will run for 10 episodes and arrives on July 15.

Netflix also showcased the incredible creativity behind Love, Death + Robots with a behind-the-scenes look at how the acclaimed Season 3 episode "Jibaro" was brought to life. Featuring commentary by writer-director Alberto Mielgo, this short featurette covered the animation techniques used to create the episode's photorealistic characters and environments. Mielgo also touched on the themes of the story and explained how his own personality and experiences informed the way he wrote both Jibaro and the Golden Woman.

Netflix Geeked Week 2022 made room for critically acclaimed League of Legends tie-in series Arcane, as well. Although Netflix didn't provide any footage from Arcane's hotly-anticipated second season, the streamer did announce a new companion show titled Arcane: Bridging The Rift. Overseen by Riot Games, Arcane: Bridging The Rift will offer fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how the animated series is made. It will debut on Riot's YouTube channel on June 8. Netflix also unveiled new Arcane avatars that subscribers will be able to add to their profile the same day that Bridging The Rift launches.

Season 1, Part 1 of Inside Job is currently streaming on Netflix. Season 1, Part 2 does not yet have a release date.
