Clothing brand Champion has partnered with anime juggernaut Naruto to create a new collection of hoodies and t-shirts. Believe it!
According to Hypebeast, the collection is Champion's first anime collaboration. The hoodies come in cropped, oversize and tie-dye options, and showcase the Shippuden-versions of many fan-favorite characters like Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Kakashi and Itachi. The t-shirts feature a range of color options, including white, red and sand, and display graphics of The Konoka 11, the Kyuubi, Kazekage Gaara and many others.
Fans can also personalize their own gear. By going to Champion stores, they can select from a variety of Naruto-themed patches. The patches feature several iconic characters like Shikamaru, Lady Tsunade, Hashirama and his brother Tobirama, Hiruzen and Naruto in Sage mode. The patches also display recognizable symbols from the anime, such as the Sharingan.
This collaboration between Naruto and Champion highlights the ever-growing popularity of anime and manga in the United States; those industries are currently experiencing a massive boom in sales. Moreover, this isn't the only recent collaboration for Naruto: reportedly, the anime will be doing a crossover with Epic Games' popular video game Fortnite.
Champion's Naruto collection will be available for purchase starting Aug. 13. Consumers will be able to purchase the hoodies and t-shirts either online or in the brand's physical stores.
