My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! is a popular rom-com light novel written by Satoru Yamaguchi and illustrated by Nami Hidaka. The series has transformed the reverse harem genre for the better, in which we have Katarina Claes being the object of affection for both men and women in her new otome game world.
With the second season of My Next Life as a Villainess set to air with the summer 2021 anime lineup, here's where newcomers and longtime fans alike can watch the anime or read the light novel and manga series.
Where to Watch My Next Life as a Villainess
My Next Life as a Villainess focuses on the story of a noblewoman named Katarina Claes. One day, she accidentally bumps her head and recalls her past life as an otaku. She realizes she is now the villainess of the otome game Fortune Lover, which she played frequently in her previous life. To prevent being killed or exiled, Katarina decides to befriend everyone she encounters, but her actions lead to unexpected consequences as all the characters, men and women, begin to adore her.
The entire first season is available to stream on Crunchyroll, including an English dubbed version. In addition, Crunchyroll will air the upcoming Season 2 starting in July. If you want personal copies of the anime, Sentai Filmworks officially plans to release the first season on home video. There has yet to be an official release date for the DVD or Blu-ray but stay tuned for further news.
Where to Read the Light Novels & Manga
The My Next Life as a Villainess light novels are licensed in North America by J-Novel Club in e-book and paperback form. As of now, only eight of the ten volumes written so far are released in English, with the other two releasing later. You can buy the first eight digitally on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. For those interested in owning the series in paperback form, they are likewise available through the same two retailers, along with Right Stuf Anime. You can also purchase the light novel as an e-book download on the J-novel website.
Fans can read My Next Life as a Villainess in manga format as well, licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment. There are currently six volumes of the manga. The first four are available now, while the last two will be released later this year. You can purchase the manga digitally on Amazon's Kindle catalog or Barnes & Noble's Nook catalog. Print copies of the manga can likewise be found there, along with Right Stuf Anime.
In addition, there is an official side-story manga entitled My Next Life as a Villainess Side Story: On the Verge of Doom!, also licensed by Seven Seas. Verge of Doom! reimagines the original series, except Katarina recovers her past life memories as a teenager rather than as a child, which makes her unable to take preventative measures against being exiled or killed. Seven Seas plans to release the first volume by the end of this year on both digital and printed platforms.
