WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Season 2, Episode 7 of Muhyo & Roji's Bureau Of Supernatural Investigation, "Trust," now streaming on Crunchyroll.
Enchu and his dark magic-wielding allies have continued to lurk in the background of the second season of Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau Of Supernatural Investigation. They've carried out some schemes, but seemingly haven't done much in the grand scheme. In place of direct actions, the situations with Muhyo summoning Hades and Roji undergoing Enforcer Page’s trial have taken the forefront of recent episodes. While they may not have had the spotlight, there is reason to believe that the Bellocent incident might be connected to Enchu’s plans.
The first thing to address is what Enchu and Teeki have been doing since their initial appearance. The events of the most recent episode link back to the fifth episode, where Enchu and Teeki infiltrate a bookstore which has connections to the Magic Association. After taking an older civilian hostage, they demand to know where the “genuine article” is from a younger worker. It’s clear that Enchu used his knowledge of Association-member identities to find this person. While the fate of this person is rather unclear, the result of this confrontation sets in motion their efforts.
The events leading to Enforcer Page’s trial start after this scene, hinting at the idea that Enchu and his associates discovered the location of this “genuine article” before the test could begin. From that moment in the bookstore, Teeki and Enchu seem to go different ways. While Enchu is walking in a city-like area, Teeki is eerily close to Magic Law Academy. He moves through the scenes as a dark shadow illuminated by the storm as people try to get explosive equipment so that Page can get inside.
Bellocent has already wreaked havoc inside the academy, attacking several weaker students and engaging in a battle with Roji’s crew. With these students occupied on the inside and those on the outside trying to break in to save them, this creates a perfect distraction that forces a lot of association members to that one area.
Conveniently, while they’re preoccupied with this mission, Teeki strikes. He infiltrates a building from the roof, entering a building with a room that is protected by a magic barrier. While touching it triggers a reaction, Teeki approaches it and sticks a hand through to the other side. By going through this barrier, Teeki is able to grab a forbidden book that seems to share a personal connection with him. After this relatively easy break-in, Teeki flees the scene with this special book.
It seems fairly likely that the Bellocent attack was coordinated with Enchu's group. Even if they didn't speak with Bellocent directly, they could have had knowledge of Bellocent's escape attempt. After all, the theft of this book occurs at the right time where everyone else is distracted.
This wouldn't be the first time that they carried out a scheme using other spirits. The arc where Muhyo and Roji entered a spirit containment center and fought an unrestrained Sophie was orchestrated by Enchu and Teeki, who waited in the background to see if Sophie could actually kill them. When this plan ended in failure, Teeki was able to use all the detained spirits in order to create a monstrous amalgamation.
The speculation regarding the situation surrounding this scheme only leaves the question of what they are planning to use it for. It's very clear that Enchu has his gripes with the Magic Association, and now that Teeki has this book he will likely be able to draw on stronger forces using it. With this loss, members of the Magic Association are going to have an even rougher time handling Enchu's dark magic users.
