MHA: World Heroes’ Mission – Which Class 1-A Students’ Lives Are on the Line

WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, now in theaters.

The third and latest My Hero Academia feature-length movie, titled World Heroes' Mission, takes place partway through the original anime's fifth season, while Class 1-A's and 1-B's students are busy with advanced work internships with diverse Pro Heroes. Together, they travel all over the globe to fight the threat of the Humarise organization, and most of Class 1-A's students are right there on the front lines.

The movie largely follows the main trio of Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki, who are all part of the flame hero Endeavor's work study. However, World Heroes' Mission still makes time for Class 1-A's other students, and they all fight hard and risk their lives to counter the Humarise threat around the world.

Izuku, Shoto & Katsuki Fight Humarise Directly In Otheon

Izuku, Katsuki and Shoto fought the greatest battles in World Heroes' Mission, challenging the top three Humarise villains in single combat to save the entire world. Izuku fights the boss, Flect Turn, to buy Rody Soul time to shut down the trigger bomb, and uses a heroic United States of World Smash to escape certain doom and take down Flect Turn to end the war.

Elsewhere, Shoto fights the water villain Leviathan in an intense Quirk-based battle, while Katsuki amazed viewers and Serpenters the villain alike with his clever and ruthless tactics in an all-out battle that pushes him to the limit. All three Class 1-A students easily could have lost their lives, but they hung on and went Plus Ultra to secure victory.

Momo Yaoyorozu & Setsuna Tokage Fight In Singapore

Momo Yaoyorozu of Class 1-A and the lizard-themed Setsuna Tokage of Class 1-B were both studying under the Magic Hero: Majestic when the world heroes' mission was launched, and both girls operated in Singapore during this time. Despite being thousands of miles away from Flect Turn and Otheon, Momo and Setsuna still did their best to keep the people of Singapore safe with their combined Quirks.

They also had the Singaporean hero -- the lion-like Big Red Dot -- with them to help get innocent bystanders clear of the local Humarise bomb and attempt to shut it down. Fortunately there were no significant casualties, and no powerful Humarise villains arrived to challenge Momo's small group.

Denki Kaminari, Minoru Mineta & More Fight In Egypt

A handful of U.A. students were seen fighting in Egypt during the events of My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, all escorted and watched over by the papyrus hero Salaam. The electric Denki Kaminari was among these students, and he had Minoru Mineta as well as Rikido Sato for company. These students didn't get a lot of screen time in the movie, but they clearly enjoyed their exotic trip to Egypt with Salaam, and they all strive to protect the people of Egypt from the threat of a local Humarise trigger-bomb. Fortunately, the crisis was averted without any serious casualties, and Denki, Rikido and Minoru returned home to Japan unharmed.

Ochaco Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui & Nejire Hado Fight In France

Partway through the My Hero Academia anime's fifth season, a filler episode depicted Ochaco Uraraka's internship with the dragon hero Ryukyu, where she, Tsuyu Asui and Nejire Hado all foiled a villainous plot aboard an airplane just in time. This directly led to those heroes' involvement in World Heroes' Mission, where Ryukyu and her three U.A. interns visited Paris, France to do their part to fight the Humarise threat.

Once again, Ochaco and Tsuyu form a tight team, combining their respective Quirks to perform the Meteor Fafrotskies move to help save the day. Ochaco and Tsuyu suffered little to no harm during the events of World Heroes' Mission, but it certainly helped that they had powerhouses like Ryukyu and Nejire to back them up.

Fumikage Tokoyami & Hawks Protect the US in New York City

Fumikage Tokoyami has formidable talent with his Dark Shadow Quirk, but in the MHA anime, he is determined become ever stronger and develop resourceful new moves with his unusual Quirk. He interned with the winged hero Hawks to learn new moves, and in World Heroes Mission' both journeyed to the United States -- New York City in particular -- to fight back against the Humarise threat.

Even though it was just the two of them, the US was in good hands since Hawks is Japan's #2 hero and Fumikage is one of Class 1-A's best students. Hawks also demonstrated his ability to throw around hundreds of feathers and telekinetically use them to move objects and people at will. Thanks to him, no one, especially not Fumikage, came to harm in their neck of the woods.

Kyoka Jiro & Many Classmates Remained In Japan With Gang Orca

Several more Class 1-A and 1-B students remained in their home nation of Japan to face the Humarise threat. This included Kyoka Jiro -- otherwise known as Earphone Jack -- and another sensory hero, the six-armed Mezo Shoji. They both joined a work study under the scary Pro Hero Gang Orca to enhance their sensory Quirks. All of these heroes used their sonic Quirks to rapidly scan the environment around them. They soon located a hidden Humarise bomb, then started forming plans to dispose of it and protect Japan's civilians from its ill effects. Despite the clear danger, Kyoka and her teammates thankfully came to no serious harm during World Heroes' Mission.
