Marvel’s Pride Celebration and a Miles Morales Team-Up Lead Next Week’s New Releases

Marvel celebrates Pride Month with an all-new one-shot releasing next week.

Once again, Marvel's Voices rolls out an anthology book to spotlight the LGBTQI+ characters of the Marvel Universe. The 2022 Marvel's Voices: Pride issue will feature stories focusing on Moondragon, Hercules, the Young Avengers and others, with main and variant cover artwork featuring fan-favorites like America Chavez, Hulkling and Wiccan, Black Cat, Loki and more. The book is also set to introduce a brand-new hero from writer Charlie Jane Anders, a character who is teased to appear more in the future. Marvel has more titles hitting shelves and digital platforms on Wednesday though.

Another one-shot releasing explores a team-up between two young heroes: Spider-Man/Miles Morales and Moon Girl/Lunella Lafayette (along with her sidekick, Devil Dinosaur). Miles Morales and Moon Girl #1 will be the first of three one-shots to star Moon Girl this summer, arriving nearly three years after the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur run ended in 2019. Later on in the summer, Lunella will team up with the Avengers and the X-Men in separate issues, and the three one-shots promise to collect her "biggest adventure yet."

Other notable mentions for Marvel's latest batch of comics include the finales of Silver Surfer: Rebirth and Star Wars: Crimson Reign, the debut of the New Fantastic Four miniseries and the Punisher War Journal: Blitz one-shot.
