The guest lineup for the upcoming Virtual Crunchyroll Expo continues to fill out, as the streaming company announced today that voice actors from series such as Jujutsu Kaisen, My Next Life as a Villainess, The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window and more will appear at the online event.
Crunchyroll announced that its online convention will host a new group of guests, which includes Junya Enoki, who voices Jujutsu Kaisen's central protagonist Yuji Itadori and has previously played roles in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Demon Slayer - Kimetsu No Yaiba and Beastars; as well as fellow voice actor Maaya Uchida, who plays the role of Katarina in My Next Life as a Villainess, and has also appeared in shows such as Food Wars: Shougeki No Shoma, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions and Infinite Dendrogram. Uchida will be featured on the panel about My Next Life as a Villainess: All Roads Lead to Doom! X, where she will be joined by co-star Sumire Uesaka, who plays Susanna Randall on the series.
Enoki and Uchida will also be joined by voice actor Kanon Amane and producer Takayuki Funahashi, who will be there to promote the upcoming sci-fi mecha series, Sakugan. Amane stars in the series as the heroine Memempu, who sets out on a dangerous journey with her dad. Sakugan will premiere on Crunchyroll this October and is being produced by studio Satelight, which is also known for its work on the Macross series.
The Virtual Crunchyroll Expo will also host a panel for the upcoming Girlfriend, Girlfriend anime, which also has Junya Enoki in a starring role as Naoya Mukai, a high school student who attempts to maintain his relationships with two girlfriends simultaneously. Ayane Sakura, who previously played the role of Ochaco in My Hero Academia, and Azumi Waki, also known for her role as Hinata Tachibana in Tokyo Revengers, provide the voices of Mukai's two girlfriends and will also join Enoki on the panel for the show.
The horror-romance anime The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window will also get its own panel, which will feature Nobunaga Shimazaki, who voiced Yuki Sohma in Fruits Basket, and My Hero Academia's Wataru Hatano. The series tells the story of Kosuke Mikado, a bookstore clerk who becomes the reluctant assistant to Rihito Hiyakawa, a fearless yet somewhat tactless exorcist. Like Sakugan, The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window will premiere on Crunchyroll this October.
The Virtual Crunchyroll Expo is an online event meant to virtually recreate the feeling of being at an anime convention. The Expo will feature activities such as panels, exclusive merch sales, a cosplay contest, and a musical set from DJ TeddyLoid. Fans will be able to participate in the expo online for free on Aug. 5-7.
