Jujutsu Kaisen has teased a huge announcement to be made at a Jujutsu Kaisen 0 talk event on February 12!
The event will feature main cast members Megumi Ogata (Yuta Okkotsu), Kana Hanazawa (Rika Orimoto), Yuichi Nakamura (Satoru Gojo), and Takahiro Sakurai (Suguru Geto). The five are set to appear after an afternoon screening at Toho Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo.
The film continues to ride high at the box office, having taken over 98 billion yen and sold almost 7.2 million tickets since opening on December 24, 2021. It has also been nominated for the Best Animation category in this year’s Japan Academy Film Prize.
Inspired by Gege Akutami's dark fantasy manga Jujutsu Kaisen, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 adapts prequel manga Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, also published as Volume 0. The story follows Yuta, a boy haunted by his childhood sweetheart ever since he saw her die in a car accident.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is currently screening in Japan. It will also premiere in North America on March 18, 2022. Dates for other territories are yet to be revealed.
