Horror anime fans have more to look forward to, as the spooky comedy Mieruko-chan will begin streaming just in time for Halloween.
According to Funimation, Mieruko-chan will be available through its streaming service as part of its fall lineup, joining other anticipated anime series like Selection Project, Season 2 of Restaraunt to Another World and Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act.
The original Mieruko-chan manga by Tomoki Izumi was first published online via Kadokawa's ComicWalker website in November 2018, and has so far produced five volumes. The story follows Miko Yotsuya, a high school student with the ability to see ghosts and spirits, as she tries her best to lead a normal life and ignore the horrifying apparitions.
Kadokawa and studio Passione (High School DxD Hero, Higurashi: When They Cry - Gou) are producing the anime adaptation with industry-veteran Yuki Ogawa (FLCL Progressive, Hunter x Hunter, Psycho-Pass) directing the project. The voice cast includes Sora Amamiya (Bungo Stray Dogs, Appare-Ranman!) as Miko Yotsuya, Kaede Hondo (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Magical Sempai) as Hana Yurikawa and Ayane Sakura (My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan: The Final Season) as Yuria Niguredou.
Mieruko-chan is scheduled to premiere sometime in October.
