The CW debuted the first poster for its upcoming Batman-adjacent series Gotham Knights.
The poster features Oscar Morgan's Turner Hayes -- the Robin surrogate of the series -- front and center. He's flanked by Olivia Rose Keegan's Duela Dent/Joker's Daughter, Navia Ziraili Robinson's Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe's Harper Row and Tyler DiChiara's Cullen Row.
Announced in December 2021, Gotham Knights centers on Batman's "rebellious adopted son," who "forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights." The project hails from writers Natalie Abrams, James Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash, who also executive produce with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden.
Another notable addition to Gotham Knights is Supernatural alum Misha Collins, who plays Harvey Dent/Two-Face. "My character will be Harvey Dent for the whole first year," Collins said about his role on the show. "So I have a nice long stretch of not being two-faced. And then I become Two-Face! Yeah, I'm looking forward to it and I'll be the old person on the show!" All American star Anna Lore was also tapped to portray longtime Batman ally Stephanie Brown, aka Spoiler.
Despite the shared premise of Batman being dead, The CW's Gotham Knights has no direct ties to the upcoming video game of the same name from WB Games Montréal and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game follows Nightwing, Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, Tim Drake/Robin and Jason Todd/Red Hood on a mission to avenge Bruce Wayne's death by bringing order back to Gotham City.
Gotham Knights premieres in 2023 on The CW.
