The Eisner Award-nominated Golden Kamuy manga will resume the serialization of its final story arc.
As reported by Anime News Network, Satoru Goda's acclaimed historical adventure Golden Kamuy will resume publication on July 29, following a month-long hiatus. The series incorporates many real-life historical figures and events into its story, and went on hiatus in June so that Goda could dedicate more time to research and planning. The next chapter of the series, which is currently in the middle of its final story arc, will premiere in the 35th issue Shuiesha's Young Jump magazine.

Golden Kamuy tells the story of Saichi Sugimoto, a veteran of one of the bloodiest battles of the Russo-Japanese War, who is scouring Japan's northern island of Hokkaido for a fabled treasure trove of gold hidden by the land's indigenous Ainu people. Sugimoto teams up with a vengeful young girl, Asirpa, whose father was one of the Ainu miners who originally discovered the gold before he was betrayed. The two travel throughout Hokkaido, unraveling clues about the gold's location while fighting other treasure hunters and opportunists who want to take the gold for themselves.
Golden Kamuy began publication in 2014 and has received near-universal critical acclaim for its depiction of the lasting effects of war and its representation of the Ainu people. The series was adapted into an anime by Geno Studio, which is one of the anime production companies that was chosen by Lucasfilm to contribute to its upcoming Star Wars: Visions anime anthology. The anime ran for two seasons in 2018, and was given a third season in 2020.
The Golden Kamuy manga is localized and distributed in English by VIZ Media. The anime is available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
