After debuting her Heartbreak County, Vol. 1 EP in early October, breakout star Gia Woods re-imagines her enthralling EP with 4 brand new remixes. Enlisting Young & Sick, Alex Chapman, Bosquet, and Not A Friend, Heartbreak County (Remixes) is a dance-forward way to enjoy the already intoxicating EP.
Bosquet kicks off the EP with his remix of “Enough of You,” adding trance-like progressive house flare to Woods' sultry track. Rising queer producer Alex Champan errs on the tech-laced edge with his take on “Oh My God,” a driving feat propelled by its grooving kick. Drenched in club aesthetic, Young & Sick's reimagination of “Next Girlfriend” is a treat for the dancefloor dwelling. Finally, rounding out the 4-track remix EP is Not A Friend. Adding Daft Punk-reminiscent robotic vocal flare to “Fame Kills,” Not A Friend's melodic signature rings through to fruition.
Gia Woods has become an emerging voice in the LGBTQ+ community, and a powerful presence in the pop scene. Through each unique release, Woods puts her groundbreaking mark on the scene, and her carefully curated Heartbreak County (Remixes) stands testament to just that.
