Anime series Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 will be hitting theaters in Japan this November with a compilation film for its second season!
Set to premiere on November 23, the film will screen for three weeks only as Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 The Last Human.
A visual created by the series' character designer, Ilya Kuvshinov, has been released along with a teaser trailer featuring one of the upcoming film's theme songs, millennium parade's "Secret Ceremony," which was originally an opening theme song for the original series.

millennium parade's "No Time to Cast Anchor," which was featured as an ending theme song in the anime, will serve as another theme song for the film.
Set in 2045, Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 is part of the hit franchise which began with Masamune Shirow’s 1989 manga Ghost in the Shell. In a world where the four biggest nations are perpetually at war in order to support the economy, Public Security Section 9 is now a mercenary organization known as GHOST. However, they find themselves returning to their former duties upon the discovery of beings known as post-humans.
The 3DCG anime series debuted on Netflix in 2020 with 12 episodes. A second season followed in 2022. It was directed by Ghost in the Shell SAC’s Kenji Kamiyama and Appleseed’s Shinji Aramaki, and produced by Production I.G and Sola Digital Arts.
Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 The Last Human will screen in Japan from November 23, 2023.
