In anticipation of Fruits Basket The Final Season's debut in Spring 2021, Funimation has teamed up with Kung Fu Tea to give away free anime for a whole month with the purchase of any Kung Fu Tea drink. The to companies began their initiative on March 15, and fans will be able to purchase three limited edition drinks themed after Fruits Basket characters -- Yuki's Noble Taro Slush, Tohru's Strawberry Blush Slush, and Kyo's Mango Madness -- on April 1.
To obtain the free month of anime licensed by Funimation, customers will need to scan the QR code found on the lids of their drinks. In addition to the free anime, customers will also get opportunities to obtain Fruits Basket stickers with the purchase of any of the aforementioned themed drinks, while supplies last.
Prior to their current collaboration, Funimation and Kung Fu Tea teamed up earlier in the year to give away a custom-skinned Nintendo Switch console as part of their New Year's celebration. The current collaboration is expected to run from though May 9, ahead of the English-language release of Fruits Basket The Final Season this spring.
Fruits Basket The Final Season is scheduled to simulcast in Japan this April, with the English-dubbed version set to stream on Funimation with the rest of the company's Spring 2021 anime season lineup.
