Dragon Ball fans hungry for more Dragon Ball Super should pay special attention to at least one panel at this year's upcoming Comic-Con@Home.
According to a blog post on the official Dragon Ball website, a panel discussion is set to "celebrate the announcement of the new Dragon Ball Super movie." The panel will feature Goku's Japanese voice actor Masako Nozawa, as well as producers Akio Iyoku from SHUEISHA and Norihiro Hayashida of Toei Animation. The new movie is scheduled to premiere in 2022, with the panel promising more details, behind-the-scenes insight and a special performance from long-time series musician Hironobu Kageyama. The panel discussion will begin at 10:00 a.m. PT on July 23 and will be available to watch on the SDCC YouTube channel.
A slew of event-exclusive items were also shown, including several figures from Bandai's S.H. Figuarts line with exclusive colors, a bundle featuring Goku with Master Roshi and a premium edition set of the collectible Dragon Ball CARDDASS cards. Check them out for yourself on the Dragon Ball digital booth page here.
Dragon Ball Super's latest movie was the 2018 release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, following Battle of Gods in 2014 and Resurrection F in 2015. Dragon Ball Super aired its latest episode in March of 2018 while manga Volumes 12 and 13 were published earlier this year.
Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time will also be featured at this year's Comic-Con@Home as well, with Evangelion's fourth and final theatrical chapter joining Amazon Prime Video's panel alongside Amazon's upcoming Wheel of Time series. That panel will also be available to watch starting July 23 at 11:00 a.m. PT on the SDCC YouTube page.
