Mystery franchise Detective Conan's 25th anime film will be titled Detective Conan: Bride of Halloween!
A teaser poster designed by Gosho Aoyama was released along with the title. It features police detectives Takagi and Sato in their wedding outfits with Conan in the background and the rest of the team underneath.
The film's story has also been revealed. Things kick off during Halloween in Shibuya, Tokyo, where Sato and Takagi are getting married. However, the festivities are interrupted when a violent aggressor bursts in and injures Takagi. The incident brings back painful memories for Sato, whose previous love, Matsuda, was killed in the line of duty during a series of bombings three years ago.
Meanwhile, the culprit behind the bombings has escaped from prison. Rei Furuya - who was also a classmate of Matsuda’s at the academy - tracks the fugitive down, only to discover a person in a strange costume who manages to put a collar with a bomb around his neck. After Conan goes to Rei in order to disarm the device, he must solve the mystery behind the events of three years ago.
Based on Gosho Aoyama's manga series, Detective Conan revolves around high school detective Shinichi Kudo, who has reverted to the appearance of a small child after being poisoned by the mysterious Black Organisation.
Detective Conan: Bride of Halloween opens in Japan on April 15, 2022.
