An incredible new Demon Slayer cosplay offers a stunning look at the Upper Rank demon Daki.
The powerful demon was recreated and portrayed by costume maker and model Nastya Luzakova. In a series of pictures posted to their Instagram, the cosplayer recreated Daki in the demon's true form, which she utilizes during her lengthy battle with the series' central trio of demon slayers. Impressively, Luzakova has managed to recreate the look of Daki's unique Blood Demon Art, a special technique that allows her to transform her flesh into whip-like appendages that resemble a kimono's obi sash.

More of Luzakova's cosplay can be viewed on their Instagram account. In addition to many more images of their Daki cosplay, the Russia-based cosplayer has portrayed a number of other anime icons, including Gurren Lagann's sniper Yoko Litner and Sonic the Hedgehog's hammer-wielding stalker, Amy Rose. The costume maker also frequently posts pictures of their original characters and costumes.
Daki plays a key role in Demon Slayer's Entertainment District arc, which is currently airing as part of the series' second season. The powerful demon and her equally sadistic brother Gyutaro have proven to be more than a match for the combined forces of the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, his three ninja wives, and the coordinated powers of Inosuke, Zenitsu, Nezuko and Tanjiro. The budget-defying animation seen during Daki's battle from studio Ufotable has received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, and was highlighted in a recent clip that showed the demon slayers finally working together to match the villainess' overwhelming power.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba was created by writer and artist Koyoharu Gotouge and debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016. The series, which tells the story of a young boy's quest for revenge against the demon who killed his family, has become one of the best-selling manga of all time, achieving a circulation of over 150 million copies worldwide. The manga came to an end in late 2020, but the continued popularity of the series helped it to become Japan's second best-selling manga for the year 2021, with a whopping 29.5 million copies sold. The complete manga series is now available in English from VIZ Media. Crunchyroll and Funimation are simulcasting new episodes of the series as they air in Japan. The first season is also available for streaming on both of those services, as well as Hulu and Netflix.
