New music highlights from Dancing Astronaut’s Artists to Watch in 2025
John Alto & AYLA – Easy Love
Exactly two months after becoming SUPERHUMAN’s newest signee, John Alto has returned with his follow-up release on the label. Back in June, Alto delivered a near-hour set packed with unreleased tracks, one of which was “Easy Love” alongside AYLA. Embracing a more lighthearted, indie-electronic framework compared to “Before The Fire,” Alto continues to showcase his production range while further cementing his status amongst Dancing Astronaut Artists to Watch in 2025. – Ross Goldenberg
ALEKO & berryblue – Show U Off!
ALEKO — a Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch alumni – kicks off his 2025 release calendar with “Show U Off!” alongside berryblue, marking his first release of 2025. The track serves as a continuation of ALEKO’s instinct for creating music that thrives in the moment, unconstrained by genres, and is driven by an electric guitar riff that brings the record to life. “Show U Off!” follows 2024’s “Aura” — released via Boombox Cartel’s MONTA — and lands on the heels of after ALEKO supporting fellow San Diego Waterboy Knock2 on his nolimit album tour earlier this year. – Zach Salafia
Gabss – Electricity
Gabss joins CamelPhat’s When Stars Align imprint with his double-sided EP, Electricity. Marking an exciting milestone in the rising producer’s career, the release sees Gabss team up with Roddy Lima while delivering a pair of tracks that fit seamlessly within the label’s cutting-edge house identity: the title track “Electricity” and the infectious “Funky Beat.” With Electricity, Gabss solidifies his place among a new wave of artists shaping the sound of CamelPhat’s imprint. — Danielle Carty
IDEMI – Everytime (Angels)
London-based twins Rhett and Conran Lee — better known as IDEMI — launched their underground dance project in 2023 and quickly gained momentum in 2024 with their Outta The Box EP on Jamie Jones’s label, Hottrax. Inspired by the raw spirit of ’90s house, the British-Chinese duo have steadily crafted their sound, blending contemporary UK minimal house’s detuned synths with faster track arrangements. Their newest track, “Everytime,” reworks Lustral’s classic vocal into a deep-house cut, retaining the warm chords reminiscent of a Chris Stussy production. Already receiving support from Stussy, Prospa, and Kettama, the record highlights IDEMI’s growing reach on global dance floors. As DJs spin IDEMI’s unreleased IDs across the scene, the duo is rapidly establishing themselves as a name to watch in the house circuit. — Oliver Broek
Argy, Eli & Dani, Peki & ØSHER – Chasing Highs
Argy’s NEWORLD label returns with the release of “Chasing Highs,” a collaboration between Argy, Eli & Dani, Peki, and ØSHER. First unveiled on Tomorrowland’s 2025 mainstage, the track quickly became one of the summer’s most sought-after IDs. The single also marks another milestone in Argy’s impressive run, following his New World LP and collaborations with Anyma, MEDUZA, and Lost Frequencies. – Alex Lambeau
SCRIPT – Mr. Rager
SCRIPT — an alumni of Dancing Astronaut‘s Artists to Watch in 2022 class — has finally released his rework of Kid Cudi’s “Mr. Rager.” Out now on Modern Delivery, the track first surfaced in late 2024 before gaining even more traction during SCRIPT’s appearance at Anyma’s residency at Sphere, becoming a standout ID in rotation from Chris Avantgarde, Adam Sellouk, HNTR, and others. By transforming one of Cudi’s most iconic songs into a club-ready record, SCRIPT continues to showcase his versatility as a producer while further cementing his status as one of dance music’s rising forces. — Alex Lambeau
Calvin Harris & Jessie Reyez – Ocean
Exactly a year ago, the path toward “Ocean” was set in motion. While the track originally featured vocals from Miley Cyrus, Calvin Harris has now reunited with Jessie Reyez — who wrote the original demo — following their 2017 collaboration on Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1. Reyez’s soulful vocals blend seamlessly with Harris’s signature production, striking a perfect balance between dancefloor energy and melodic storytelling. The result is powerful and irresistibly catchy, showcasing the duo at their finest and continuing Harris’ run of summer hits. – Liana Stern
