Dancing Astronaut’s New Music Friday: DREYA V, Arcando and Julian Jordan, Audien, and more (June 13, 2025)

Words by Alex Lambeau, Zach Salafia, and Ross Goldenberg.

New music highlights from Dancing Astronaut’s Artists to Watch in 2025:

DREYA V – Up Front

“Up Front” marks DREYA V‘s first original release since her rebrand from MISS DRE. And it’s understandably received massive pre-reelase support from the likes of HNTR, ALOK and VNSSA. Perhaps most notably, the Realm Records release served as one of the standout IDs from Alesso and Gorgon City’s back-to-back at Coachella’s Quasar stage in April. And it arrives via Gorgon City’s label in the wake of her remix of Will Clarke’s “Burn This City.”

Arcando & Julian Jordan – Operator

Another unexpected STMPD RCRDS pairing has come to fruition. To extend his white-hot release streak in the first half of 2025, Arcando partnered up with Julian Jordan to fuse the worlds of drum ‘n’ bass and techno, with the first half of “Operator” seamlessly intertwining the former genre and the second half flipping the track upside down for a high-octane switchup that continues to expand the stylistic depth of Martin Garrix’s label.

Otherwish – Memories

While he may now be amongst Dancing Astronaut‘s Artist to Watch alumni, Otherwish is still expectedly amongst this week’s standout releases. “Memories” — his fourth This Never Happened appearance since January — dates back almost two years, with Otherwish explaining that he turned a live-only demo into a fully fledged single, resulting in yet another high-end offering of melodic house via Lane 8’s label.

William Black, Fairlane & Amidy – Nightmare

The third single off of William Black‘s upcoming fourth album has arrived. “Nightmare” sees a melodic bass trifecta come together, with Fairlane and AMIDY having already been serial collaborators with Black in the past on fan-favorite releases like “Butterflies” and “Closer Than You.” The release comes via Lost in Dreams and follows his previous two singles “Save Me” and “Waiting On This Day Forever.”

Audien, MAKJ & Julia Church – Slide Away

Audien, MAKJ, and Julia Church have come together on an upbeat house track, “Slide Away.” It’s a perfectly even collaborative effort between Audien and MAKJ that’s complimented by a unfailingly sublime vocal from Julia Church. Audien was set to bring his Progressive House Never Died show to The Torch in Los Angeles this weekend before postponing it to July 19th at the Palladium in light of the ongoing protests against immigration raids in the city.
