Season 2 of popular anime Cells at Work! is set to air from Jan. 9!

A trailer was released along with the big announcement. As well as exciting glimpses of the new season, it showcases the ending theme, “Fight!!”, performed by anisong duo ClariS.

The opening theme song, "Go! Go! Saibo Festa,” is performed by voice actors Hanazawa Kana (Red Blood Cell), Maeno Tomoaki (White Blood Cell), Ono Daisuke (Killer T cell / Memory T cell), Inoue Kikuko (Macrophage), Kobayashi Yusuke (Ordinary Cell), and Yoshida Yuri (Lactic Acid Bacteria). It will be released as a single on Jan. 13.

Adapted from the manga by Shimizu Akane, Cells at Work! follows anthropomorphised cells as they go about their duties in the human body. The first season of the TV anime aired back in 2018.

Cells at Work! Season 2 will air from Jan. 9.
