WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Chapter 66 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, “Do-or-Die,” by Masashi Kishimoto, Mikio Ikemoto, Mari Morimoto and Snir Aharon, now available in English from Viz Media.
In the Boruto manga, Code has upgraded big time in his quest to honor what Isshiki wanted to achieve. While his Ōtsutsuki overlord died, Code was blessed with a White Karma mark that allowed him all of his master's power, but surprisingly, that hasn't been his trump card. His ace in the hole has been Eida, but unfortunately, in Chapter 66, Code's rookie mistake in the field just endangered his most powerful asset.
Eida is a robot that has clairvoyance and deep knowledge, helping Code wage his war against Konoha. She guided him toward Boruto and Kawaki in the forest so he could defeat and take them to sacrifice for the God Tree, all to get the chakra fruit and bleed this world dry. She's kept Code steps ahead of everyone else by predicting their foes' moves, though she has shown some flaws recently as she aims to help him transcend into a deity.
Still, Code has used Eida to play Naruto and the Hidden Leaf-nin like a fiddle, eventually getting a chance to spectate in the field. It's led to him holding Shikamaru hostage, all as Naruto tried to stop Kawaki from killing a Momoshiki-possessed Boruto.
However, Code ended up talking to himself, whispering out loud when he saw Kawaki using a new Karma and unleashing even more power than him. He was asking Eida how this could have happened, which exposed one of her shortcomings as it felt like she couldn't predict anything tied to the alien DNA and their marks.
As he did this, it turned out to be a stupid decision because Shikamaru, one of Konoha's best strategists, picked up on it and realized Code has a handler directing him in battle. As such, whether Shikamaru escapes or gets word to Naruto and the sensory team back home, they can track the chakra signature or whatever waves Code and Eida are using to communicate.
With Eida's powers no longer foolproof and the signal exposed, there's a strong chance they'll be able to find Boro's snowy lair, and once Amado can help mask it, Naruto's forces can launch an assault. And there's a high probability of success happening -- Amado made Eida, so he'd know what failsafes and countermeasures to deploy to negate her and cripple Code's plan.
Once she's out of the picture, Code will be on a more even keel with the others, or even below them as he'd only have his mark. With Kawaki and Boruto harvesting the Ōtsutsuki energy directly from an alien source, Code may not be able to contend with them, which could lead to his death and the end of Isshiki's sinister dream in Boruto -- all because Code couldn't shut up.
