WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Chapter #59, “Knight,” of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations by Masashi Kishimoto, Mikio Ikemoto, Mari Morimoto and Snir Aharon, now available in English from Viz Media.
In the Boruto manga, Code has been adamant about carrying out Isshiki Ōtsutsuki's will, making it clear he's not just a dad to him, but a god. Isshiki gave him a Karma mark before dying, so Code's powers have been amplified for his revenge quest. Still, he sought out the deadly cyborg, Eida, to help him on the mission to kill Naruto, Sasuke, Boruto, Kawaki and anyone from Konoha who murdered his leader.
However, while Code believed Eida was the ultimate ally he needed, he's now being introduced to Isshiki's most dangerous weapon of all -- her brother, Daemon.
Eida's clairvoyance makes her a powerful tool, and she can act as a spy camera all over the world. Thanks to her knowledge, Code has the upper hand against the Hidden Leaf shinobi, but Eida still bargains with him to spare Kawaki, who she wants as her prince. Code, though, indicates that Kawaki might try to kill her, thus she needs a bodyguard if the romantic venture goes awry.
Eida realizes that while Code is indeed her guardian knight, he'll be preoccupied with his vendetta so she reluctantly takes him to meet her other knight. Bug is scared -- he hates being their lackey at Boro's wintery base, knowing the other soldiers are coming for them to take revenge for murdering the watchmen. Eida, though, is cool and composed since she knows those soldiers will be marching to their doom.
When they get to Daemon's chamber, however, the door is already open. Code is wary, and just as he senses someone attacking him, it turns out that Daemon is not a monstrous thug or badass cyborg, but a cute little kid. He leaps on Code playfully, warning him not to break his sister's heart, with Code sort of amused.
Boruto Chapter #59 gets very dark moments later, however, when the assassins arrive. They hate that their lair has been infiltrated, remembering Boro's words: if any cyborg is free, kill them.
But when they attack, Code is in awe of Daemon using his reflection powers in the most ideal manner. One attacker draws his blaster but his head is blown off. Another lunges with an axe but it magically disappears and is jammed in his skull, while a third reaches for his sword -- only to have his own head plop off.
It's a virtual bloodbath as Daemon hops around, having fun and laughing like the child he is. Eida confesses that once someone thinks of a method to kill the boy, even from miles away, that particular death then befalls them. This is a dangerous new secret in Boruto that could instantaneously kill Konoha's elite. It leaves Code salivating over the prospect of attacking the Hokage with his new and seemingly unstoppable charge.
