WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Black Clover Chapter #310, “Unyielding Right and Wrong,” by Yuki Tabata, Taylor Engel, and Annaliese "Ace" Christman, available now in English from Viz Media.
Since the beginning of Black Clover, Yuno has been shown to have practically unlimited magical ability and potential. Meant to directly contrast and act as the opposite counterpart to Asta and his complete lack of magical ability, Yuno's inexplicable talent always stood out. Recently though, the story has provided some explanation as to why Yuno is so special.
Being the long-lost son of Spade Kingdom's royal family, his full name is actually Yuno Grinberryall. While this explains his abnormally high mana reserves -- especially for someone raised as a commoner -- it has also recently provided him with a brand new type of magic as well as an accompanying grimoire. With his new "Star Magic" combined with his already mastered and powerful Wind Magic, Yuno has become an even greater force to be reckoned with, but how did he get this new magic and how is he even able to have two magics, to begin with.

As mentioned above, Yuno is the last descendant of the Spade Kingdom's royal Grinberryall family. According to Zenon, the royal family used unique magic types, with Sun Magic and Moon Magic being used by the king and queen respectively. Through their union, a new type of magic was born within Yuno -- Star Magic!
With his new magic, Yuno has a whole new array of abilities that completely change how he fights. With his Star Magic, he is capable of creating miniature stars that become the source of most of his new abilities. He can use these stars to fire magic energy attacks as well as create energy constructs such as force fields and even whips of starlight. Probably the most useful ability this magic grants him is the ability to teleport between different stars.
While his Star Magic is definitely powerful -- enough so that it was able to cut through Zenon devil body -- it is woefully underdeveloped compared to his Wind Magic. However, it should be impossible for Yuno to have multiple magic types without the aid of a devil like Zenon does or through experimentation like Mars. That being said, Yuno actually shares a lot in common with his squad captain William Vangeance.
Much in the same way Vangeance was possessed by the soul of Patry, Yuno is possessed by the soul of one of Licht and Tetia's unborn twins (the one that died in the womb). In Vangeance's case, he had access to his World Tree Magic while Patry had access to Light Magic, with neither being able to use the other's magic. With Yuno though, this limitation does not seem to apply.

Unbeknownst to Yuno, for his entire life he had been using the magic of the unborn child, he acts as a vessel for which explains its focus on both wind and swords. It wasn't until his fight against Zenon in the royal castle that his true grimoire appeared before him, which helped unlock his full potential.
If this is still somewhat confusing, that's understandable as this is a very unique situation in the series. It is possible that due to the unborn nature of the soul residing in Yuno, that the divide between the two is much less distinct. This could explain why Yuno never realized what his actual magic was. This is further supported by how the soul of the unborn child even states "I am you" right before he got the second grimoire.
It could also be related to Yuno's lack of a true identity until now. Being raised as an orphan in an incredibly poor village in the Forsaken Region, Yuno's true identity would have been impossible for anyone to guess. It's possible that being in the Clover Kingdom caused the half-elf's magic to manifest as the primary one due to the fact its existence is directly tied to that specific kingdom. With Yuno's proper grimoire all the way in the Spade Kingdom with no way to truly connect to him, his true magic's suppression potentially makes sense.

It should be noted that the Wind Spirit Sylph states " I finally ... feel like have met the real you, Yuno!" after he gains his second grimoire. With the soul of the unborn half-elf and his own being so intertwined, it's easy to see how Yuno wouldn't be able to see his own power, let alone be able to differentiate between himself and the half-elf.
They are two souls in one body and seemingly one mind, and in Black Clover, each soul has its own magic. This creates a unique situation where the two souls essentially act as one, eliminating any divide between the two, allowing the dominant soul to use both abilities to their fullest. Now with his full power being accessed and his identity more clear than ever, he has even managed to unlock Saint Stage, giving him the power to end the threat of devils as well as the opportunity to avenge his parents and kingdom as well as the Golden Dawn.
