Over the course of Black Clover, Asta has collected three very powerful swords: Demon-Slayer, Demon-Dweller and, most recently, Demon-Destroyer. Here is everything you need to know about his new Demon-Destroyer sword.
In episode 100 of Black Cover, Asta takes the Demon-Destroyer sword from an Elf named Licht during battle after noticing it absorbed his and Yuno's magic, strengthening the villain's attacks exponentially. Later it is found written into Asta's grimoire, having chosen him to be the next person to wield it, which it may not have done if he had not mastered his first two swords.

His original swords are unique in some key ways. Demon-Slayer is very big and bulky, and it can grow bigger depending on the situation. He can also use it to fly as if it were a broom and summon it back to him, like Thor summons his hammer. Demon-Dweller can absorb magic and redirect it. This allows Asta to broaden and strengthen his anti-magic attacks. Both swords share the ability to cut through spells and redirect their magic.
Demon-Destroyer is a bit of a wild card, because its full power and potential is still unknown. It does share some traits with Demon-Slayer and Demon-Dweller, like being able to cut and redirect spells with a blunt edge. But it also has an unprecedented spell called Casualty Break, or Fate Release. This spell allows the sword to absorb all of the magic around it, effectively erasing all magic and its physical effects by taking away their source.
It does this by producing anti-magic that touches those affected, for example by forbidden magic like Elven possession, and absorbing all of the magic inside and around them. This power could be seen as a form of healing magic, even if that is not its actual purpose. This is demonstrated at the very beginning of Season 3 when Asta heals Father Orsi and the villagers of Hage, absorbing the unnatural poison from their bodies with Demon-Destroyer.

Asta has used the sword for extremely powerful moves throughout Season 3. He began with nullifying as many Elven possessions as possible, even going so far as to turn an Elf away from being consumed by hate and despair. This means that Demon-Destroyer has the power to save souls. He also used it to cut the tree binding all of the Elves souls together, severing their ties to the mortal plane and sending them back to the afterlife.
It is clear that there are hidden depths to what this sword could potentially be able to do. Although his first two swords are powerful and very useful, Demon-Destroyer's ability puts it in a class of its own. It is arguable that the addition of Demon-Destroyer's ability to absorb magic, coupled with his physical strength and his demonic hybridity, puts Asta well on his way to becoming one of the most powerful mages within the Clover Kingdom -- even without any Mana.
