Boys' love manga Given is set to receive a new original animation DVD titled Given: Uragawa no Sonzai in addition to a live action drama adaptation!
The new anime will focus on the relationship between Mafuyu and Ritsuka during the events of the Given anime film released in 2020. The DVD will be bundled with the limited edition of the manga's seventh volume, which hits shelves on December 1.
The live action TV drama will star Jin Suzuki as Ritsuka Uenoyama, sanari as Mafuyu Sato, Kai Inowaki as Akihiko Kaji, and Shuntaro Yanagi as Haruki Nakayama. It will be available to stream in Japan from July 17 through streaming service FOD.
Based on Natsuki Kizu's BL manga, Given follows the life and loves of a four-piece rock band. The first season of the TV anime adaptation aired in 2019.
The new Given original animation DVD will be released on December 1, 2021. The live action TV drama will premiere on July 17, 2021.
