Beastars Season 1 ended with its protagonists Legoshi and Haru at a relationship crossroads as the anthropomorphic wolf declared he needed to sharpen his instincts before officially beginning their romance.
Netflix has released the opening credit sequence for the upcoming second season, reuniting the pair as they run through Cherryton Academy. As Legoshi comes to terms with his carnivorous tendencies, Haru is menaced by a voracious foe.

Set to the show's new theme song "Kaibutsu (Monster)" by Yoasobi, the opening sequence is an effervescently colored, surreal odyssey as the couple flee for their lives with the murderous predator in hot pursuit. The development comes with Season 1's primary antagonist Louis still on the loose and eager to fracture the fragile peace between the carnivores and herbivores
Based on the same series created by Paru Itagaki launching in 2016, Beastars anime adaptation is produced by animation studio Orange and distributed by Netflix outside of Japan. According to a data report released this past October, Beastars is the most popular anime series on the premium streaming service in 35 different countries, and the second-most watched anime series on the digital platform overall.
Based on the manga series of the same name by Paru Itagaki, Beastars Season 1 is available to stream on Netflix. Season 2 premieres in Japan on Jan. 5, 2021, while the international release date is currently unknown.
