Fans will soon be able to stream the easygoing fantasy anime Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside.
Banished from the Hero's Party is part of Funimation's upcoming fall anime season thanks to its partnership with Kadokawa, Funimation announced. It joins other anticipated shows like Mieruko-Chan, Season 2 of Restaurant to Another World, Selection Project and Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act.
The series follows Red, an adventurer who was kicked out of his party, as he settles down in a small town with a girl named Rit. Studio Flad (The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments, Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online) and Wolfsbane (Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time) are animating the series with Makoto Hoshino (Sword Art Online) serving as the show's director and Ruriko Watanabe (KutsuDaru, Mirai Nikki) acting as the character designer.
The voice cast includes Kanon Takao (Edens Zero) as Rit, Ryota Suzuki (Children of Whales, Pretty Boy Detective Club) as Red and Ken Uo (Basilisk, Dragon Ball Super) as Newman. Popular Jpop group JYOCHO performs the ending theme song "All the Same."
Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 6.
