Instagram user @lowcostcosplayth, who is well-known within the cosplay community for their creative methods of making costumes using unconventional materials, posted a series of photos showing how to recreate the look of Attack on Titan's most iconic characters, including Eren Jaeger and the Colossal and Armored Titans, using items that you may have lying around the house. The inventive cosplayer shows four ways of recreating the Colossal Titan's sinewy appearance using just plastic twine, wooden matches, imitation crab meat, or the messiest method of all, ketchup and mayonnaise.

The Thailand-based cosplayer also recreates the iconic scene of Eren giving Mikasa her trademark scarf and also portrays the Armored Titan's unique look using apple slices. More of Low Cost Cosplay's humorous and wallet-friendly costumes can be seen on their Instagram page, where they have used vegetables to recreate the look of Dragon Ball characters and have even found a way to use their cat as an impromptu Batman cowl. The cosplayer's costumes often make creative use of unique camera angles and perspective tricks, combined with creative (and occasionally mildly NSFW) use of their own body.
While these innovative cosplays certain bring some laughs to Attack on Titan, things are looking grim in the anime series itself, which is currently only two episodes away from the fourth and final season's conclusion. Eren has initiated The Rumbling, his long-planned out and potentially devastating plan to reshape the world, and his former friends in the Survey Corps. and the forces of Marley have been forced to team up to stand against him. Episode 86 of the series is currently scheduled to air on March 20, and barring any unforeseen delays, the final episode of the TV series will premiere on April 3.
Attack on Titan created by author and artist Hajime Isayama in 2009. The anime was originally produced by Wit Studio (Ranking of Kings) for its first three critically acclaimed seasons, but production was shifted over to studio MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuri!! on Ice) for both parts of the final season. Isayama's manga concluded in 2020 and the complete series is now available in English from Kodansha USA, while past seasons of the anime, and the simulcast of the current season, are all available on Crunchyroll, Funimation and Hulu. The final season is also being broadcast on Toonami as part of its late night lineup.
