Which D&D Class Matches Each Member of Fire Force’s Company 8

Fire Force's Company 8 may be the smallest, but their Fire Soldiers are some of the toughest and bravest. They take their role as investigators seriously and work hard to hunt down the corruption within the other companies. Their noble intentions and dedication to saving lives make them heroic figures in the story. This heroic attitude would make the members of Company 8 great Dungeons & Dragons characters.

Each member of Company 8 has unique powers, specialties, and personalities that make stand out in the story. On the team, they all have specific roles to fill that are necessary for the success of their mission. Just like a typical D&D adventuring party, Company 8 merges the skills of a diverse group of people to create a powerful unit. Let's explore which D&D classes best fit the members of Fire Force Company 8.

Akitaru Obi: Champion Fighter

Akitaru Obi is the leader and captain of Company 8. He is unique among the captains of the other companies because he does not possess any pyrokinetic abilities. Captain Obi rushes into fights against dangerous Infernals and powerful pyrokinetics with only his human abilities to aid him. Despite lacking powers, Captain Obi has proved time and time again that he has earned the rank of captain with his superhuman strength.

This strength makes the Fighter class perfect for Obi. Unlike other classes that rely on magic, the Fighter class uses physical ability and skill with weaponry to overcome enemies. Every day Obi trains his body which has given him monstrous strength. He needs this strength to carry all of his heavy armor and equipment. The Champion subclass in particular grants the fighter increased physical abilities and the ability to withstand more damage. This is perfect for Obi since he mostly tanks through most attacks thrown his way.

Takehisa Hinawa: Hunter Ranger

Hinawa is holding a gun up to someone

Lieutenant Hinawa is the second in command of Company 8. Hinawa always has a serious attitude which can make him intimidating to others, but it also allows him to be efficient in combat. With a tactical mind, Hinawa assesses the situation and comes up with a plan for victory even against dire odds. He is a Second Generation pyrokinetic which means he can manipulate existing fire. This ability allows him to control both the speed and trajectory of his bullets by manipulating the ignition of his firearms.

Hinawa's deduction skills and ranged fighting abilities make the Ranger class perfect for him. Rangers stalk and study their targets to learn their strengths and weaknesses. They use this information to bring their enemies down with well-executed plans. The Hunter subclass also gives the Ranger a wide variety of offensive and defensive techniques for almost any situation. Just like a Ranger, Hinawa will strike his opponents from where they least expect it.

Maki Oze: Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer

Platoon Leader Maki was recruited into Company 8 early in its formation by Hinawa. She acts as the responsible older sister for many of the younger members and has a fierce dedication to the company. Like Hinawa, Maki is a Second Generation pyrokinetic. She uses this power to control flames and create sentient fireballs that do her bidding. Maki is one of Company 8's most powerful members and has saved the teams' lives on multiple occasions.

Although Maki trains her body for physical combat, she often fights at a distance with her pyrokinetic abilities. For this reason, the Sorcerer class is the best fit for Maki. Maki is known as the Witch Queen, and many of her abilities mimic the numerous spells that sorcerers have. With her Iron Owls, Maki can defend herself and crush her opponents with incredible force. The Draconic Bloodline subclass can grant sorcerers increased resistance and damage with fire spells that match Maki's abilities perfectly.

Iris: Light Domain Cleric

Iris is one of the two Sisters in Company 8. She holds strong religious beliefs and fulfills her duties as a Sister with pride. When Company 8 is called in to deal with Infernals, Iris is always there to deliver the rites that set their souls at peace. Iris is incredibly kind and does her best to aid her friends in their time of need. Despite lacking combat abilities, Iris still journeys into dangerous situations without fear thanks to her faith in the Sun God.

The Cleric class embodies Iris's character and her religious attitude. Clerics are devout followers of gods. Their strong worship of their god grants them holy abilities. These abilities allow them to heal their allies and fight with divine power. Because Iris is such a dedicated believer of the Sun God, she fits this role exactly. The Light Domain subclass is for clerics that worship gods of light and fire, just like Iris. These clerics are also given spells that deal fire or radiant damage.

Vulcan Joseph: Battle Smith Artificer

Vulcan is Company 8's engineer and is one of the most useful members of the team. Vulcan not only repairs all of the equipment of Company 8 but has also invented new devices to help aid them. Maki's Iron Owls were created by Vulcan, as well as several other inventions that have been vital for Company 8. Vulcan's engineering genius more than makes up for his lack of pyrokinetic ability.

The Artificer class is where science and magic meet in Dungeons & Dragons. They use their scientific knowledge to create magical weapons, armor, and other contraptions that aid themselves and their allies in battle. This description fits Vulcan to a tee since he has built weapons and devices that have been beneficial to the team, especially Maki and Obi. The Battle Smith subclass specializes in combat and creates a mechanical pet that helps them in battle. The Iron Owls that Vulcan designed to exactly that for Maki.

Tamaki Kotasu: Circle of Wildfire Druid

Tamaki is Company 8's secondary Sister, but unlike Iris, Tamaki has pyrokinetic abilities that she can use in combat. She is a Third Generation which means that she can produce her own fire. Tamaki uses this fire to cover her body and give herself cat-like traits that make her a stronger fighter. She can manifest tails and claws made of fire which she can use to attack. This form also gives her increased speed and agility.

Druids in D&D have an ability called Wildshape, which lets them transform into different animals. This ability is similar to Tamaki's pyrokinetic powers, which allow her to take on the traits of a cat. The Circle of Wildfire subclass grants Druids more fire-based spells and abilities. This subclass gives druids the same destructive firepower and agility as Tamaki's fireballs and her Nekomata.

Arthur Boyle: Oath of Devotion

Arthur is Company 8's self-described Knight King and one of the strongest members of the team. Arthur is a Third Generation pyrokinetic that can generate plasma and form it into a blade. This ability alone makes him incredibly powerful, but Arthur actually gets stronger the more he believes in his Knight King fantasy. If those around him play into his delusions, Arthur's power increases dramatically. For Arthur, the power of belief can exceed physical limits.

Similarly, Paladins in D&D get their power from belief too. Paladins swear to follow an oath. Their dedication to that oath grants them their magical powers. Paladins that follow the Oath of Devotion are usually stereotypical knights that embrace ideals of chivalry and justice. This is perfect for a character like Arthur, who wants to be just like the knights of old that fought for the greater good.

Shinra Kusakabe: Sun Soul Monk

Shinra is the main character of Fire Force and Company 8's greatest weapon against the Evangelists. As a Third Generation pyrokinetic, Shinra can generate fire from his feet, which gives him superspeed and powerful striking power. He also possesses an Adolla Burst, which allows him to defy the laws of physics. Shinra can move faster than the speed of light and is capable of a form of time travel.

Monks in D&D harness their own life energy to surpass their normal limits and enhance their martial arts fighting style. This harnessing of life energy is similar to the way that pyrokinetics use their oxygen to fuel their fire. Because Shinra primarily uses kicks in combat, the unarmed fighting style of the Monk would fit the best. Soul Sun Monks use their life energy to generate burning bolts of light. Just like Shinra, Soul Sun Monks can produce fire from their limbs to increase their fighting capability.
