As the climactic battle of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba's Entertainment District arc continues to heat up, the show's central trio shows off what they're capable of in a new clip.
SPOILERS FOR DEMON SLAYER: SEASON 2 FOLLOW:
The action-packed new scene from Episode 42 of the series was shared to Twitter by user @SinzsSzn. As the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui continues to battle the Upper Rank demon Gyutaro by himself, Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke use their combined abilities to get the upper hand on Daki, the other powerful demon that has antagonized the team throughout the arc. While the rest of the episode makes it clear that neither Gyutaro or Daki are ready to give up the battle yet, the clip does illustrate how far the show's central trio of swordsmen have come in terms of their personal strength and their ability to work together as a team.

The Demon Slayer anime is currently nearing the end of its adaptation of the Entertainment District arc. The arc premiered last December and takes place several months after the brutal end of the previous arc, Mugen Train. While the season's total length has not been officially confirmed, a listing on the Chinese streaming site iQIYI, which provides the official streams of the series in the region, listed Season 2 as only being 18 episodes long. If the iQIYI listing is accurate, that means that after Episode 42, there will only be two more episodes in this season. Neither Shueisha, the publisher of the Demon Slayer manga, nor Ufotable, the studio behind the anime adaptation, have made any public announcements about further episodes in the season or their plans for the show following the Entertainment District arc's conclusion.
Demon Slayer was created by writer and artist Koyoharu Gotouge and premiered in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016. The fantasy epic has become one of the biggest hits to emerge out of Shonen Jump in recent years and is one of the best-selling manga of all time, with over 150 million copies in circulation around the world. The manga came to an end in late 2020, but the continued release of collected volumes in Japan were enough to secure the series' place as the second best-selling manga in 2021 with a whopping 29.5 million copies sold. The complete manga series is now available in English from VIZ Media. Crunchyroll and Funimation are simulcasting new episodes of the series as they air in Japan. The first season is also available for streaming on both of those services, as well as Hulu and Netflix.
