Though there is still plenty of time left in January, this February and March are looking absolutely stacked with new film and television premieres to entertain audiences as we move into spring. Driving the latest wave of trailers and teasers is original programming coming to digital platforms, from Netflix and Disney+ to Prime Video and Peacock. They're teasing major developments as the Marvel Cinematic Universe gets its latest superhero while the soul of Star Trek is compromised in a time-travel adventure instigated by a familiar foe.
Here are all the biggest trailers, teasers and promo videos released this past week for television, film and video games as January nears its end and the year begins in earnest.
The Cuphead Show!
The popular video game franchise Cuphead is getting its own animated adaptation next month with the aptly titled The Cuphead Show!. Recounting the 2017 game's story of Cuphead and Mugman making a deal with the devil to collect the souls of wayward figures that previously encountered the hellish figure, the admittedly wacky trailer is full of nods to the game as the two brothers travel around their home on Inkwell Island.

Fistful of Vengeance
The hard-hitting martial arts series Wu Assassins gets a continuation feature film on Netflix poised to blend martial arts and the supernatural with Fistful of Vengeance. In the wake of losing one of their own, Kai leads the Wu Assassins to reunite in Bangkok to track down those responsible. However, the team of elite fighters is shocked to learn that this new threat possesses ancient powers and is only getting started in their rampage.
Directed by Roel Reiné, Fistful of Vengeance premieres Feb. 17 on Netflix.
Fruits Basket
The 2019 reboot of the popular anime franchise Fruits Basket is getting a compilation film next month, streamlining the series while adding a new epilogue between Tohru and Kyo. A trailer for the compilation film also teases the movie's new content in the form of flashbacks following Tohru's parents Kyoko and Katsuya as it adapts Natsuki Takaya's bestselling manga series about a mysterious family deriving their powers from the Chinese zodiac.
Directed by Yoshihide Ibata, Fruits Basket: Prelude premieres Feb. 18. The 2019 anime series is available to stream on Crunchyroll, Funimation and Hulu.
Joe vs. Carol
One of the biggest television hits of 2020 was the Netflix true-crime documentary series Tiger King, which centered on the feud between exotic wildlife figures Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. The antagonistic dynamic between the two controversial figures is explored in Peacock's upcoming miniseries Joe vs. Carole, as the zookeeper and animal rights activist spar over how they manage their collection of big cats, bringing up dangerous secrets from their respective pasts.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
One of the biggest original series premieres coming to Prime Video this year is its Lord of the Rings prequel series, with a teaser trailer officially announcing the series title -- The Lords of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Providing glimpses of locations from J.R.R. Tolkien's classic novel series, the promo video uses practical effects to forge the title placard for the upcoming fantasy series.
Developed for television by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power premieres Sept. 2 on Prime Video.
Moon Knight
A much darker and more violent superhero is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe this March, with the debut trailer for Moon Knight featuring Steven Grant struggling with his dissociative identity disorder before learning he has a lunar-themed alter ego. As Steven discovers he has a whole other personality named Marc Spector, a cult leader attempts to get Steven to embrace his inner darkness as the crimefighter Moon Knight.
Created by Jeremy Slater, Moon Knight premieres March 30 on Disney+.
Raising Dion
Netflix's postmodern superhero series Raising Dion returns for its second season to kick off February, with its young protagonist still developing his superpowers two years after the events of Season 1. As Dion learns how to master his potential, he meets other children training to hone their burgeoning powers before Atlanta comes under threat from a new danger that requires Dion to step up and save the day once again.
Created by Carol Barbee, Raising Dion Season 2 premieres Feb. 1 on Netflix.
Severance
Apple TV+'s next original series takes a twisted, dystopian look at white-collar workplace culture in the upcoming thriller series Severance. Directed by Ben Stiller and boasting an all-star cast led by Adam Scott, Severance follows office workers at a corporation that severs its employees' memories of their personal lives while working and of their work when they return home. As this process begins to yield unexpected side effects, the true nature of this corporation and its work begins to come startlingly to the surface.

Shenmue
Sega's popular action-adventure game franchise Shenmue is getting its own anime adaptation next month, adapting the sprawling revenge story as a young man named Ryo Hazuki seeks revenge on the man who murdered his father. Traveling from his home in Japan to the streets of Hong Kong, Ryo trains in martial arts for the inevitable showdown while learning there are larger forces at work behind his family tragedy.
Directed by Chikara Sakurai, Shenmue premieres Feb. 6 on Crunchyroll and Adult Swim.
Star Trek: Picard
Q is making his eagerly anticipated return in Star Trek: Picard Season 2, and judging by the latest trailer, Jean-Luc Picard's best hope in restoring the timeline is his old friend Guinan. The trailer shows Picard reconnecting with Guinan from the dive bar she's running in Los Angeles while the rest of his friends acclimate to being transported to the year 2024 and all the changes Q has evidently triggered in the timeline.

The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead returns for the second of its final season's three blocks of episodes next month, teasing a bloody showdown against the rival survivor faction, the Reapers. While Alexandria weathers a natural disaster, the idyllic society established by the Commonwealth is poised to plunge into chaos. The latest trailer reveals Maggie Rhee and Negan continuing to face off over their unresolved issues as the villainous Pamela Milton is ready to crush anyone who stands her way to power.
Developed for television by Frank Darabont, The Walking Dead Season 11 returns Feb. 20 at 9 pm ET/PT on AMC, with AMC+ subscribers getting early access Feb. 13.
WWE 2K22
The latest installment of the WWE's popular professional wrestling video game series, WWE 2K22 unveiled a new trailer that showcases its Superstars ready to throw down in the ring. Gameplay footage is interspersed with behind-the-scenes details of the various Superstars, including Alexa Bliss and Rey Mysterio providing motion-capture work for the game to help deliver the most immersive pro wrestling game yet.
Developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Games, WWE 2K22 will be released March 11 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
