Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark shonen fantasy series in the same vein as Bleach and Demon Slayer. With its excellent combat system, compelling characters and slick visuals, the manga has won over fans worldwide and sold tens of millions of copies. Aside from protagonist Itadori Yuji himself, one of the story's best assets is his good friend Kugisaki Nobara.
Far more than the main squad's "token girl," Kugisaki is a powerful, loyal and brave fighter with a stubborn and proud personality, and she will gladly fight back against unfair societal norms to make a name for herself and find success. Curiously, all of this aligns perfectly with her astrological sign.
Kugisaki Nobara, The Leo
Kugisaki Nobara's canon birthday of August 7th makes her a Leo, one of the three fire signs in astrological lore. Fire signs are known for their ambition, reckless determination, zeal and proactive attitudes, all of which describes Kugisaki well in Jujutsu Kaisen. She's not quite as cocky as an Aries or as adventurous as a Sagittarius, but she does fit the proud, stubborn and self-absorbed nature of a Leo.

She leaped into her and Itadori's first mission with boundless enthusiasm and confidence, though she did hesitate when a curse took a young boy hostage.
During Jujutsu Kaisen's Tokyo-Kyoto sister school event, Kugisaki's wild Leo side expressed itself in new and deeper ways. More than a cocky fighter, she is proud of who she is and won't let societal norms or judgmental people reshape her into something she's not. Like a true Leo, Kugisaki is a fiercely self-deterministic person, demanding that the world accept her and praise her for her own inner strength.
Resolute in the face of adversity and doubt, Kugisaki won't stop until she proves the naysayers wrong and sets a good example for others. She brought this up in Jujutsu Kaisen during her battle with Nishimiya Momo, debating the role of female sorcerers in a career path that seems to favor men instead. As a proud Leo, Kugisaki declared she can enjoy girly things and be a tough fighter, without compromising on anything.
Kugisaki's Leo side emerged again when she and her two friends battled the cursed painting brothers. She recklessly and fearlessly used her Resonance technique to connect her suffering with that of Eso, who had put the decay curse on her to begin with. Even at the risk of her own life, she doubled down -- and it paid off. She and Itadori formed a highly effective team with Kugisaki taking the lead, as Jujutsu Kaisen's naturally-born Leo.
