WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment Part 2, now streaming on Netflix.
The journey of The Seven Deadly Sins has reached its conclusion with the release of the last batch from the final season, Dragon's Judgment. The epic fantasy series has had its ups and downs, but the series successfully ends on an "up," with satisfying conclusions for the characters that fans have come to know and love. Here's where each of the Seven Deadly Sins ends up in the series finale.
Escanor's Ending Sets Him Apart From the Rest of the Sins
Escanor, tragically, is the only member of the Seven Deadly Sins who does not live to see the end of the series. In the final showdown against the Demon King, Escanor loses his life because of the immense burden of the power of Sunshine. Escanor had never felt as though he belonged anywhere until he joined the Sins, and he gladly sacrifices his life for his treasured companions. A happy ending in its own way, Escanor professes his love for Merlin, knowing it is not reciprocated yet hoping that someone worthy of her love may find her someday.
Hawk Has a Family Reunion (In Purgatory)
An honorary member of the Seven Deadly Sins, Hawk goes on his own journey as the Sins go their separate ways. He decides to travel to Purgatory to mark a grave for his brother, who Meliodas and Ban met during their own time in Purgatory. With an assist from Merlin, Hawk makes his way to Purgatory and impressively adapts to the harsh environment. Eventually, he succeeds in locating his brother, Wild, and the two talking pigs have an emotional reunion.
Gowther Goes His Own Way
Now that the Holy War is officially over, Gowther plans to use this time of peace to find himself by journeying alone. He declines an invitation from Diane and King to join them, saying that he knows where he's going and will never be alone because the Sins will always be his companions. Gowther doesn't know what he wants to do, so he plans to explore until he figures that out. He returns to Liones 10 years later for Meliodas and Elizabeth's son's birthday, giving him a "special present" -- the memories of the adventures of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Merlin and Arthur Start a New Kingdom
After reviving Arthur as the King of Chaos, Merlin stays by his side, vowing to use his power to build a new kingdom of eternal peace. The pair do not reappear in the series finale, save for a brief assist from Merlin when Hawk needs a ride to Purgatory. It's unknown if Merlin's questionable actions in unleashing Chaos left a wedge between her and the rest of the Sins, as she is the only living member who does not join the reunion for Tristan's 10th birthday.
King and Diane Finally Get Married
During the height of the battle with the Demon King, King hastily proposes to Diane, who happily accepts. After the end of the Holy War, the couple returns to the Fairy Forest to begin planning their wedding, which they say will be soon. They return to Liones 10 years later for Tristan's birthday, where Diane comments that Tristan is "so cute" because he looks just like Meliodas and Elizabeth. However, King maintains that his and Diane's child is definitely cuter.
Ban and Elaine Start a New Race
As the Sins go their separate ways, Ban and Elaine announce they will journey all over Britannia so that Ban can sample all kinds of ale. 18 months later, Elaine is pregnant with her and Ban's first child, who Ban wants to name Lancelot. Gerheade notes that this will be the first-ever child born of a human and a fairy. Elaine finds it strange to be pregnant with life, considering that fairies are born from trees and flowers.
Only Ban travels to Liones for Tristan's 10th birthday, where he notes that Tristan is as energetic as ever, indicating this is not the first visit he's made to his best friend and his family. When Tristan confronts the Sins who've gathered, thinking they're still criminals, Ban finds humor in Meliodas' decision not to tell Tristan the whole truth and wishes he'd done the same to mess with his own child.
Meliodas and Elizabeth Share the Throne of Liones
Meliodas and Elizabeth are the only Sins who remained in Liones after the end of the Holy War, and in 18 months' time, they have assumed the throne and are expecting their first child together. Bartra Liones, Elizabeth's father, has had a vision that the child will be a boy, who Meliodas names Tristan. On his 10th birthday, Tristan hears rumors that the Seven Deadly Sins will be gathering that night and that they used to be criminals.
Meliodas declines to tell Tristan the whole truth -- that the Sins are actually heroes -- because "it's more fun this way." Meliodas and Elizabeth are so beloved by the citizens of Liones that the entire kingdom turns out to celebrate Tristan's birthday. Later, when Tristan reveals his desire to become a Holy Knight, Meliodas tells his son that he doesn’t have to be the next king -- he can become a Holy Knight if that's what he wants.
