King Amusement Creative has released seven trailers for the anime adaptation of Shiro Manta's romantic comedy manga series My Senpai is Annoying to introduce viewers to the upcoming series's main cast.
Each trailer provides insight into a single character's core personality, from protagonist Futaba Igarashi's high energy and conflicting emotions, to main love interest Harumi Takeda's protective nature, to Souta Kazama's aloof attitude. The trailers also give the veteran voice cast, which includes Tomori Kusunoki (Deca-Dence, Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina), Shunsuke Takeuchi (Drifting Dragons, Sirius the Jaeger) and Saori Hayami (Sound! Euphonium, Selection Project), a chance to shine.
My Senpai is Annoying is produced by animation studio Doga Kobo (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle, Asteroid in Love) with Ryota Itoh (Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie) serving as director, Yoshimi Narita (Digimon Frontier, Saint Seiya Omega) supervising the scripts, Shigemitsu Abe (Killing Bites) designing the characters and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Tokyo Revengers, Jujutsu Kaisen) composing the music.
The series is one of several new anime that will premiere as part of Funimation's fall 2021 lineup. Other shows that will debut include Mieruko-chan, Taisho Otome Fairy Tale, Ranking of Kings and Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut.
The first episode of My Senpai is Annoying will air on Oct. 9.
