Popular fantasy anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will be back with the Entertainment District arc on December 5!
The first episode is set to run for an hour. Miyuki Sawashiro will join the cast as an antagonistic demon named Daki, who is also Upper Rank Six.
Before Tanjiro ventures into the Entertainment District, we'll also see him in the seven-episode Mugen Train arc, which will kick off Season 2 on October 10. The arc will feature one completely new episode about Kyojuro Rengoku's journey before he arrives at the Mugen Train. The rest will recap the events of his and Tanjiro's mission aboard the train, as seen in the wildly successful film Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train. However, it will also include new scenes and background music.
Aimer will perform both the opening and ending theme songs for the new season, titled “Zankyosanka” and “Asa ga kuru" respectively.
Created by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba follows kindhearted charcoal seller Tanjiro, whose life changes forever when his family is attacked by demons. In order to return his sister, who is now a demon, to her former state and avenge his family, Tanjiro sets out on a dangerous journey.
The Entertainment District arc will pick up after the events of the Mugen train arc. Tanjiro and his friends must embark on a new mission to the entertainment district of Yoshiwara with Tengen, the Sound Hashira.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 will begin with the Mugen Train arc on October 10, 2021. The Entertainment District arc will premiere on December 5, 2021. Both arcs will also be streamed via Crunchyroll.
