Monthly Girls Nozaki-Kun has been parodying shojo manga for over ten years now, and series creator Izumi Tsubaki and publisher Gangan Online took to Twitter to celebrate a decade of the series.
Tsubaki posted a new illustration of the series' central trio of Nozaki, Mikoshiba and Sakura to Twitter to mark the special anniversary. Gangan Online also celebrated the series' big anniversary with an illustration of the series' extended cast partying. The four-panel comedy manga originally premiered on the Gangan Online service on Aug. 25, 2011.

Monthly Girls Nozaki-Kun tells the story of Chiyo Sakura, a short high school girl who develops a crush on one of her classmates, the imposingly tall and aloof Umetaro Nozaki. When Chiyo tries to confess her feelings to Nozaki, she accidentally discovers that he is actually a famous manga artist and the creator of one of her favorite romance manga series, "Let's Fall In Love." Instead of going out on a date, Chiyo ends up becoming the manga author's inker and assistant, but she decides to use this misunderstanding as an opportunity to get closer to Nozaki anyway.
The series has been praised for its meta-comedy and lovable characters. The manga was adapted into a 12-episode anime series in 2014 by animation studio Doga Kobo, which is also known for its work on anime such as Tada Never Falls In Love and Himoto! Umaru-chan.
The complete anime of Monthly Girls Nozaki-Kun is available for streaming on Netflix, Crunchyroll and HIDIVE. The manga is currently on-going and is published and localized into English by Yen Press.
