Upcoming anime series Fena: Pirate Princess, a co-production by Crunchyroll and Adult Swim, has confirmed its summer release on both platforms in addition to releasing its first key visual, a teaser trailer and info on the key cast and creative team!
The series will be available to stream with English subtitles on Crunchyroll. It will also air with an English dub on Adult Swim.
Confirmed cast members include Asami Seto as Fena, Ryota Suzuki as Yukimaru, Takahiro Sakurai as Shitan, Aoi Yuki as Karin, Gen Sato as Enju, Ryota Osaka as Kaede, Jun Osuka as Tsubaki, Shintaro Tanaka as Makaba, Manabu Muraji as Salman, and Hiroaki Hirata as Otto.
Kazuto Nakazawa ( B: The Beginning ), who is also credited as the original story's creator, will direct at Production I.G with a script by Asako Kuboyama. Yuki Kajiura will compose the music, which will be produced by FlyingDog.
Set in an alternate version of the 18th century, Fena: Pirate Princess follows Fena Houtman, a young orphan raised on an island of prostitutes after her father fell victim to pirates. Vowing to break free before she is forced to follow the path of those around her, Fena ventures on a journey to discover the truth behind the word “Eden,” one of the last words she heard from her father.
Fena: Pirate Princess will be streamed this summer with English subtitles on Crunchyroll and aired as an English dub on Adult Swim. It will premiere in Japan in October 2021.
