Funimation announced the premiere date for My Hero Academia's upcoming season.
Season 5 of My Hero Academia debuts on March 27 on Funimation's website. In the U.S., the anime's newest season will also be streaming on Funimation's partner-site Hulu.
Season 5 will begin with the Joint Training Arc, pitting the students of Class 1-A and Class 1-B against each other in team battles to showcase their growth. The upcoming season will also mark a My Hero Academia milestone, as it also features the show's 100th episode.
"We are excited to have My Hero Academia coming back to its home on Funimation," Chief Creative Officer at Funimation Global Group Asa Suehira said. "It’s been an honor to bring the My Hero Academia story to the Funimation audience over the years and watch the community of fans team up with Deku and his friends."
Based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia follows the adventures of Izuku "Deku" Midoriya as he trains to be the world's greatest superhero. The My Hero Academia manga recently announced that it was entering into its final act with its latest chapter.
