One of the most shocking revelations of Dragon Ball Z was that Goku was not, in fact, from planet Earth. Instead, the powerful martial artist originally hailed from Planet Vegeta, home of the Saiyan race. As Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta, there really aren't that many living Saiyans left in the Dragon Ball universe, leaving a lot of unanswered question about the race as a whole. In this video, we're going to dive into some of those questions and what they mean for the franchise.
Prior to living on Planet Vegeta, the original Saiyans lived on Planet Sadala. We only know a few things about Sadala, including the fact that it was destroyed by an internal conflict that rendered the planet uninhabitable. However, the exact nature of the conflict wasn't totally clear, leaving a lot of mystery as to just what happened. That being said, Universe 6's version of Sadala is still intact, so it's entirely possible this question might just be answered in the future.
Check out the video below for more questions about Saiyans that haven't yet been answered in the Dragon Ball franchise.
Dragon Ball Super was the most recent installment in the franchise, not counting the original net animation Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Although it's unclear just when -- or if -- the series will return, the Dragon Ball franchise is popular, so it's unlikely to stay gone for long. The manga currently expands on the ending of Dragon Ball Super, taking Goku and Vegeta into space to fight against the energy-absorbing Moro. However, it's unclear if when the anime returns it will actually pull from that plotline. Still, there are a lot of unanswered questions about Saiyans that could be answered at some point in the future.
