Upcoming anime New Prince of Tennis: Hyoutei vs Rikkai Game of Future has released plot details along with a teaser visual!
Created as part of the franchise's 20th anniversary celebrations, the new anime will focus on the exhibition match between Hyoutei and Rikkai following the conclusion of the U-17 World Cup.
At Hyoutei, Hiyoshi has officially taken over the role of captain from Atobe. Meanwhile, the Atobe Corporation decides to bring in a worthy opponent for an exhibition match commemorating their new tennis court. The invitation goes to Rikkai, eager to rise to the challenge after a difficult time at the national championships. Not only will the match bring the two teams together for the first time, but it also marks the 3rd years' last chance to make a mark in their middle school career.
The teaser visual features the leaders of the two teams, Hyoutei’s Atobe Keigo, played by Suwabe Junichi, and Rikkai’s Yukimura Seiichi, played by Nagai Sachiko.
The two-part New Prince of Tennis: Hyotei vs Rikkai Game of Future anime opens in spring 2021.
