After months of anticipation, Ultra Instinct Goku has finally received a release date to be added to the playable roster in the acclaimed fight game Dragon Ball FighterZ.
In a gameplay trailer, Goku's most powerful transformation yet is showcased against Jiren, with the Super Saiyan God effortlessly evading the Universe 11 champion's attacks to unleash a devastating array of techniques. The character will be available to purchase individually or as part of the Fighter ZPass 3 DLC pack on May 22.
Ultra Instinct was first introduced in the final storyline of the anime series Dragon Ball Super. As Goku pushed his body past its normal physical limits, he absorbed the energy of a failed Spirit Bomb to attain godly levels of combat power.
Ultra Instinct Goku's inclusion in Dragon Ball FighterZ had been rumored for months, with Bandai Namco confirming his inclusion in January with an announcement unveiling official character design art.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Ultra Instinct Goku will be available on May 22.
