Following a successful run of releases from UK-based producers James Hurr and Loz Seka, FLAMENCA Records founder STBAN has returned to his own label with a brand new single, 'Habibi.' Released on April 10th, the track marks a significant moment for the imprint as it continues to bridge the gap between traditional flamenco influences and modern electronic music.
A Fusion of Global Sounds
'Habibi' is a masterclass in percussive Afro-Latin House, designed specifically for the dance floor. The track is the result of a powerhouse collaboration between STBAN and two prominent figures in the Spanish music scene: DJ and percussionist Javi Torres and vocalist/DJ Alba Dreid. By blending the heat of Arabesque instrumentation with driving, thundering basslines, the trio has crafted a sound that feels both exotic and relentlessly energetic.

Meet the Collaborators
Javi Torres has cemented his reputation across southern Europe and Latin America through his explosive live sets, which frequently incorporate live percussion to elevate his Afrohouse and Latin Tech selections. His work has garnered support from industry titans including Martin Garrix, Alok, Jamie Jones, and Hugel, among many others. His technical prowess provides the rhythmic backbone that makes 'Habibi' such a compelling listen.
Complementing the production is the vocal talent of Alba Dreid. Widely recognized in Spain for her victory on the RTVE program La Bien Cantá, Dreid is dedicated to bringing Spanish folklore to a global stage. Her artistic vision aligns perfectly with the mission of FLAMENCA Records, which seeks to modernize traditional sounds for the contemporary 2024 music landscape and beyond.
'Habibi' is available now on FLAMENCA Records via Toolroom Records, serving as a testament to the label's commitment to pushing the boundaries of the 2026 electronic scene.
