Following a string of successful releases from UK-based producers James Hurr and Loz Seka, FLAMENCA Records founder STBAN has returned to his own imprint with a powerful new single. Titled 'Habibi', the track officially arrived on April 10th, marking a significant moment for the label’s growing discography.
A Fusion of Cultures and Rhythms
'Habibi' serves as a masterclass in percussive Afro-Latin House, blending high-energy production with deep, cultural resonance. The track is the result of a collaborative effort between STBAN and two prominent figures in the Spanish music scene: DJ and percussionist Javi Torres and vocalist/DJ Alba Dreid. Together, they have crafted a dance floor weapon that seamlessly integrates the heat of Arabesque vocal samples and instrumentation with driving, thundering basslines and relentless, syncopated rhythms.

Meet the Collaborators
Javi Torres has established himself as a force to be reckoned with across southern Europe and Latin America. His signature sound, which combines explosive Afrohouse and Latin Tech elements with live percussion, has earned him widespread acclaim. His work has garnered support from industry titans including Martin Garrix, Alok, Jamie Jones, Hugel, and Nicky Romero, among many others.
Joining him is the versatile artist Alba Dreid. Rising to national prominence in Spain following her appearance on the RTVE program La Bien Cantá, Dreid is dedicated to bridging the gap between traditional Spanish folklore and modern electronic music. Her involvement in 'Habibi' aligns perfectly with STBAN’s ongoing mission to push the boundaries of the genre through FLAMENCA Records.
'Habibi' is now available on all major streaming platforms via FLAMENCA Records, distributed through Toolroom Records.
