Following a string of successful releases from UK-based producers James Hurr and Loz Seka, FLAMENCA Records founder STBAN has returned to his own imprint with a powerful new single. Titled 'Habibi', the track officially arrived on April 10th, marking a significant moment for the label’s growing discography.
A Fusion of Cultures and Rhythms
'Habibi' is a masterclass in percussive Afro-Latin House, blending the vibrant energy of the Spanish music scene with global electronic sensibilities. The track is a collaborative effort, featuring the expertise of DJ and percussionist Javi Torres alongside the distinct vocal talents of singer and DJ Alba Dreid. Together, the trio has crafted a dance floor weapon that seamlessly integrates Arabesque vocal motifs and instrumentation with driving, thundering basslines.
The production serves as a testament to STBAN’s ongoing mission: to bridge the gap between traditional flamenco influences and modern electronic music. By incorporating organic percussion and soulful, emotive vocals, the track captures a unique atmosphere that feels both grounded in heritage and ready for the main stage.
