Dancing Astronaut’s New Music Friday: Beltran, Matroda, Odd Mob, and more (August 15, 2025)

New music highlights from Dancing Astronaut’s Artists to Watch in 2025

Beltran – TOOLS 4 HARDWORKERS 004

Beltran’s toolbox stays stocked with minimal and deep tech hardware that gets the job done at major North American festivals and intimate European discothèques alike. With TOOLS 4 HARDWORKERS 004 – the fourth installment in the EP series that started last December – the Brazilian visionary expands his supply of precision-crafted dance floor doozies, calibrated for maximum impact. “My Neck My Back” featuring Khia and “Pussy Licker” might be NSFW, but they’re certainly game for the club. — Rachel Narozniak

Marten Hørger – No Matter

Marten Hørger returns with yet another bass-driven anthem in “No Matter,” one of his most-anticipated IDs of the year. Fresh off the success of his recent EP with Dillon Francis, the German producer keeps the momentum rolling with this release on Tchami’s celebrated label, Confession. Known globally for his distinctive mix of bass house and festival-ready tracks, Hørger once again delivers the high-octane energy that’s become a hallmark of his sets and a favorite among listeners worldwide. – Danielle Carty

Matroda – Feel the Heat

Matroda is back at it again, putting his unmistakable stamp on another dance classic, “Feel the Heat.” This time, the Croatian powerhouse took on Praxis and Kathy Brown’s iconic “Turn Me Out (Turn to Sugar),” reimagining the 1994 anthem with a high-energy, club-ready twist. Known for breathing new life into timeless records — including his recent flip of The Supreme’s “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” — Matroda injected his signature basslines and hi-hat loops, making this rework impossible to stand still to. – Liana Stern

SIDEPIECE & Bobby Shmurda – Cash Out (Odd Mob Remix)

If Odd Mob’s remix of “Cash Out” makes anything clear, it’s that Bobby Shmurda isn’t the only one cashing out. The Aussie tastemaker has cultivated a reputation for high-octane remixes and off-kilter sounds in equal step, and his spin on SIDEPIECE’s fan favorite packages both in one peak-time moment just waiting to pop off. (Spoiler alert: it already has.) “Cash Out” is Odd Mob’s second official remix of the month, following his take on Calvin Harris and Clementine Douglas’ “Blessings” at the beginning of August.  – Rachel Narozniak

Karsten Sollors & Return of the Jaded – Cheeky

One of the most sought-after IDs from Dom Dolla’s Madison Square Garden shows has finally landed. After igniting New York City back in March, Karsten Sollors and Return of the Jaded’s “Cheeky” officially drops via John Summit’s Experts Only imprint. The track arrives as part of the label’s Excursions Vol. 5 compilation, which also features fresh cuts from Tini Gessler, Guz, B/AN/K, and Emily Nash. – Zach Salafia

PARIS – Genesis

Back in March, many were left questioning who was responsible for the fan-favorite first ID in Lane 8’s Spring 2025 Mixtape. And that’s now formally revealed to be PARIS, who begins the road to her debut album with “Genesis.” Driven by the feeling of “returning to your roots after feeling lost,” PARIS properly sets a lofty excitement bar for her impending project on This Never Happened. – Ross Goldenberg
