A new Scarlet Witch-centric image sees Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff ready to face the ensuing insanity of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Released through Marvel Studios' TikTok account, the image shows Scarlet Witch in front of a red and black background staring hauntingly at the viewer with the Marvel Studios logo hanging in front of her. Below the logo is an equally ominous tagline that reads, "I've been dreaming."

Prior to the release of the image, Olsen talked about why she loves playing Wanda in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, saying that she does not find it the most fun to "always play the hero of a story where they do no wrong." She continued, "I think the reason why I really enjoyed Wanda from the beginning is that she's very clear in her beliefs. They just don't align with others, and that's okay. She'll have her own realizations and admit when she makes mistakes."
While Olsen is known to be in Multiverse of Madness, which will tie in directly to Disney+'s WandaVision, her fellow MCU veteran and Vision actor Paul Bettany recently played coy as to whether or not he will be in the movie. "You're asking...am I in Doctor Strange 2?" Bettany said in an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. "Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. I don't know. Am I? I can neither confirm nor deny rumors that I am in said and aforementioned Doctor Strange 2." Aside from a possible appearance from Bettany, Multiverse of Madness is also rumored to have cameos from Mister Fantastic of the Fantastic Four and Black Bolt of the Inhumans.
Along with a multitude of potential cameos, Multiverse of Madness will see a potential team-up between Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong), as well as introduce America Chavez into the MCU. In a recent interview, co-producer Richie Palmer teased that Multiverse of Madness will also settle if Scarlet Witch or Doctor Strange is more powerful than the other.
"I don't know who's more powerful than Wanda," Palmer said. "Meeting the Wanda Maximoff at the end of [Avengers: Endgame] would have been a lot for Strange. Who comes out on top as the most powerful being in the universe? Maybe we find out at the end of the movie." Director Sam Raimi also weighed in on the topic, saying that if one were to pit the two characters against each other, such a fight would be "a mixed bag of possibilities," especially considering the potential alternate versions of each character.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters on May 6.
